FRDK is a high-performance fiberglass reinforced sleeve specifically designed for girth weld corrosion protection on pipes used in directional drilling applications.
Construction: three-layer system
First layer: liquid epoxy, solvent-free, two-component
Second layer: high-shear strength hot-melt adhesive
Third layer: radiation cross-linked, high-density polyethylene, fiber-reinforced composite structure.
Additional component: Wear a Cone as extra protection against pull-through forces, of the same construction as the main sleeve.
The FRDK heat shrinkable fiberglass reinforced sleeves provide effective protection against abrasion and wear forces that occur during the pull-through operation. The system is fully compatible with cathodic protection systems, resists cathodic disbandment, and is designed for a wide range of operating temperatures.
